Various pieces of Heartwood from Eucalyptus Camuldensis is used to add two wood scales to a beautiful polished Shirogami Steel E-toh Blade Design. The blade is 16 5/8" Overall Length, with a true edge length of 9". The tip is 3 1/4" at the widest point, this is where extra weight is added to make chopping effortless. The wide tip also helps in cracking open coconuts, or cutting hard wood where you don't want the blade to get stuck every time you hit the tree. Although this machete performs excellent for chopping open coconuts, it is very useful for chopping down small trees, or splitting small firewood logs into tinder. The edge holding of Shiroigami is excellent, and when shipped there is a very high possibility that the edge's sharpness can be improved on natural whetstones. Including the degree of polish the blade will hold. In summary, a very durable and well designed machete with extra thickness and extra weight.
